
Having been hard aground for six hours on the tidal River Trent, we made
good time to Torksey and locked in just before
8 o'clock in the evening. We were 'buzzed' by water skiers near High Marnham
Power Station, as shown in the above
photograph. On arrival at Torksey, we tied up (with assistance from an extremely
helpful lock-keeper) above the lock
and enjoyed an excellent fish 'n chip dinner at the 'The Wheel House' restaurant
and bar, nearby.
