One of the benefits of keeping a 'listening watch' on the VHF radio is that you get forewarned of commercial traffic.
As we left Torksey we heard that a huge barge was coming down river having just unloaded an exceptionally
large item of equipment destined for Cottam Power Station. The barge was being manouvered by two tugs,
'Gillian Knight' and 'Pushett', both owned and operated by John Dean Tugs of Hull. 5th June 2009.
