David Howdle left us at Newark to get a train back to Nottingham while we moored up for the night opposite the ruins of
Newark Castle. The following day, Saturday, 6th June 2009, we cruised up river in company with the magnificent
Luxemotor 'Anja'. The photograph above shows 'Anja' leaving Holme Lock near Nottingham.
